Dear Inland Lakes Families and Community,
Happy October! We are heading into a busy and spirited month, and I want to take a moment to share some important dates and celebrations with you.
On Friday, October 10, there will be no school for students. This day is set aside for district professional development, where our teachers and staff will come together to collaborate, learn, and continue planning strong instruction for our students. Thank you for supporting our team as they invest this valuable time in professional growth.
We are also excited for Homecoming Week, October 6–11. This is always one of the highlights of fall at Inland Lakes, and we look forward to celebrating Bulldog pride throughout the week. Key events include:
Parade – Friday, October 10 at 5:00 PM. The parade will run through downtown Indian River. We encourage families to arrive early, bring chairs, and enjoy cheering on our floats, student groups, athletic teams, and the Homecoming Court.
Varsity Football Game – Friday, October 10 at 7:00 PM on our home field. Join us under the lights as we cheer on the Bulldogs, enjoy halftime festivities, and crown the Homecoming Court.
Homecoming Dance – Saturday, October 11 at 7:00 PM in the Secondary building. This tradition is always a fun evening for our students, and we look forward to a safe and memorable night.
As we look ahead, October will also bring many classroom learning opportunities, fall activities, and moments to connect as a school family. We encourage you to stay engaged, connect with your child’s teachers, and join us at events to celebrate student success.
Thank you for your continued support of Inland Lakes Schools. Together, we make this a wonderful place for our students to learn, grow, and thrive.
Let’s make it a great October—Go Bulldogs!
