Dressing Down to Help Out … Staff donates $130+ to a family in need this Holiday
The Inland Lakes secondary staff was proud to donate $130+ to a family in need this Holiday Season.
Every Friday the Inland Lakes Secondary Staff has been paying a minimum of $2 per person to dress casually. Some of the staff members enjoy wearing jeans on Fridays, while others choose not to dress down but still donate the two dollars to the cause.
Principal Killingbeck, credits the staff with caring about children and finding ways to make Inland Lakes Schools and the community a better place.
As a staff they have been pooling that money to donate it to worthy causes, and they decided that they wanted to donate September monies to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, October monies to Habitat for Humanity, November monies to Toys for Tots, December monies went to a family in the community in need, and the staff has not designated a cause for January as of yet.
Nash noted that this time of year it is all about making positive Christmas memories for young children.
