District will open a new school …

Inland Lakes Secondary School

While many schools are merely focusing on the bottom line with budgets Inland Lakes Schools has chosen to redesign how their school functions. The staff has spent the last few months brainstorming and developing what a new school would look like for students in grades 7-12.

The district was comprised of 3 schools K-4, 5-8, and 9-12 but for next year (2010/11) the district will have a K-6 and 7-12 school. The staff seized this change as an opportunity to make improvements on how the new school will operate.

Principal Killingbeck said, “Our focus was on our students first we worked everything around keeping them safe while providing the best education possible.”

If you visit the school district website www.inlandlakes.org there is a short power point presentation that highlights Inland Lakes Secondary School 2010.
